History

  • 1962: Nikolaos and Panagiota Aggelakis created a small family poultry business in Chalkida, Euboea.
  • 1992: Aggelakis S.A. was incorporated and developed a privately owned state-of-the-art poultry slaughterhouse in Pournos, Euboea.
  • 1999: Aggelakis named approved supplier of YUM! Start of collaboration with KFC Pizza Hut in Greece.
  • 2022: EN ISO 9001:2008 Certification
  • 2003: HACCP Certification
  • 2009: Launch of a new product line, OliVchicken’® patented by Aggelakis S.A.
  • 2010: Exclusive chicken supplier in Greece of the German supermarket chain Aldi.
  • 2015: Aggelakis awarded the ITQI Superior Taste 3*** Certification, according to International Standard FSSC 22000
  • 2017: Strong exporting activity to more than 10 countries.
  • 2018: Relaunch of OliVchicken’® product range, fed with corn and olive oil. Sial Innovation Award.
  • 2019: 3 quality and taste awards for OliVchicken’®.
    OliVchicken’® recognised as healthy food.
    OliVchicken’® exports to Czech Republic & Slovakia.
    OliVchicken’® exports to UAE.
  • 2021: Launch of the handmade gluten-free OliVchicken’® Burger, and the breaded chicken products.
  • 2022: Placement of OliVchicken’® in the GSO countries and HK.
